Have you ever heard of a CGM, or a Continuous Glucose Monitor? It is a small device that sits on the back of your arm and measures your blood sugar constantly. It can be very helpful in identifying foods, even healthy foods, that are raising your blood sugar.

At Lifelong Weight Loss, we will prescribe a CGM for patients that are interested in understanding more about their bodies’ response to specific foods or for patients that are at a weight loss plateau. We also use CGM for patients with diabetes on insulin. We prescribe both Dexcom G7 and Freestyle Libre 3. You can use a GoodRx coupon to get Dexcom G7 for $64 per 10 day sensor. You may be able to use a manufacturer’s coupon (from Abbott) to get Freestyle Libre 3 for $37.50 per 14 day sensor.
