Your body mass index, or BMI, is based on your height and weight and can help you to determine if you are at an unhealthy weight.

Keep in mind that some people with a lot of muscle may have a high BMI but still be at a healthy weight. Alternatively, some people with very little muscle and a high body fat content can be in the "normal" BMI range but may still benefit from body fat loss.
